Sixty views reproduced by the autotype process by Alfred Brothers from prints
originally published around 1822-5. The first set of twelve by Ralston is better known by the name of the publishers, D and P. Jackson. The other set was published by the artist and known as "James's Views of Manchester and gives not only views of the streets as they then appeared, but also drawings of many old Houses and Halls in ther neighbourhood. Also bound in are two plans, one of Manchester and Salford in the County Palatine of Lancaster and the other of Market Street showing the division of property.
Recently rebound in three quarter morocco and including a prospectus and hand written letter from A.Brothers.
